Where does the Roxborough Male Chorus perform?
Over the years, we've performed at various venues and locations including the Roxborough High School auditorium, Leverington Presbyterian Church, The Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill, Green Valley Country Club, Gorgas Park ... and other locations organizations within the community invite us to participate.
How large is the chorus?
In the 1950s, the chorus was at its largest with 75 to 100 members. Over the years, the size of the chorus had declined and is currently holding 12 to 15 active members.
What types of music do you sing?
The chorus has a repertory of over 800 pieces of music including hymns/gospel, patriotic anthems, Christmas music, 1950s favorites, and pop songs through the 1980s. We've even done some barbershop numbers!
Do I need to read music to join?
No! While the ability to read music is always helpful, it is not a requirement.
